Himachal winter season continue to be mainly deficient of rain or snow :IMD
Indian Meterogical Department stated today that high anomalies and departure in rain, snow and temperature in this winter season and it unlikely to change as monthly and weekly report of state cummalative perciptation was released on Thursday. The Winter brings coldwave, rain and snowfall was highly deficient in foothills and midhill however it is deficient to slightly normal in upper hills.
During past week, light rainfall or snowfall mainly marked hill weather however mainly sunny day and overcast night pushed up Mercury at many places of the state. Highest Maximum temperature in last week was at Una recorded 27.8 degree Celsius (Una) on 05th Feb 2023 and Keylong in Lahual Spiti district was lowest Minimum at minus 12.4 deg on 08 th Feb 2023. Chief Amount of Rainfall, Snowfall events over previous week (in mm/cm) recorded on February 3 at (Barsar in Hamirpur): 1.4 mm Koksar had 2.2 and 3.8 cm snow on Feb 3 and 4 respectively. On February 6 Bharmaur and Tinder in Chamba district had 12.3 and 8.7 mm rain and Udaipur and Koksar 7.6 and 3.4 cm snow. On February 7, Jubbal in Shimla and Banjar(Kullu) had 22.4 and 19.4 mmrain and Koksar and Kothi 11 and 7.5cm Snowfall. Today on February 9 Koksar had 3.2 cm snow and Keylong one cm. Keylong also received six cm fresh snow in the day today and Manali had two mm rain and Dalhousie one mm. In the month of January Solan had minus 49 percent deficient rain or snow, Mandi minus 47 pc , Kinnaur minud 44 pc, Shimla minus 31 pc, Bilaspur minus 23 pc, Hamirpur minus 22 pc and Lahaul-Spiti 18 pc morover, Kangra had 22 pc excess and Lahaul-Spiti and Una 18 and 16 oc normal rainfall. Siramaur had minus nine pc, Kullu snd Chamba minus 6 normal rain. Issuing extended Weather forecast IMD said state likely to continue face forecast anomaly for rainfall in first and second week in this month predominately below normal in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Maximum temperature for next week predominantly normal in all the districts and Minimum below normal in parts Chamba, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla whereas normal in the rest of district.In the 2nd week if this month maximum and minimum temperature would be predominantly normal to above normal. Today minimum temperature improvised by two to three degrees ad Shimla 8.8 degrees and 5.3 above normal, Sundernagar 4.2 degree, Kalpa minus 2.2 degrees Dharamshala 8.2, Una 6.4, ,Nahan 11.9, Keylong -8.2 ,Solan 3.8,Manali 1.8, Kangra 6.6, Mandi 5, Bilaspur 7 Hamirpur 5.3, Chamba 6 Dalhousie 7, Jubberhatti airport 7.5, Kufri 4.7 and Narakanda 2.2 degrees respectively. Forecasting Weather for next three days Met office issued yellow alert of heavy rain and Snowfall at isolated places and rain and snowfall at most places in mid and high reaches and many places foothills. On February 11 state likely to have rain or snowfall in few places in mid and high reaches and mainly dry weather in the foot hills.
