Himachal Pradesh Police traced 214 missing persons including 33 Children
Himachal Pradesh Police traced 214 missing persons including 33 Children, and 181 females during the special campaign, a press release issued by the state police on Monday.
According to state police missing person is one who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead has to be confirmed as their location and fate are unknown.
These persons are generally reported as missing to the police. Missing persons especially women & children are vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.
Therefore, all the reasons that special steps should be taken to recover them.
As per the directions of DGP-HP, a special campaign was launched by HP police in March 2023 in the State to trace missing women and children.
During the special campaign, all out efforts were made by the police to trace missing women and Children & special teams of police personnel were constituted for the purpose.
During the special campaign, the police teams have done remarkable work and have successfully traced 214 missing persons, which include 33 Children, and 181 females.
The DGP-HP has appreciated the efforts made by police personnel and complimented all Ranges IGPs, Districts SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and In-charge Police Posts for this outstanding work.
