Himachal Pradesh Police Launches Recruitment Drive for Constables: Key Dates and Details
The Himachal Pradesh Police Department has announced the commencement of the recruitment process for Constable (Male and Female) positions across the districts of the Southern Range, including Sirmour, Solan, Shimla, and Kinnaur. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Southern Range, will oversee the process, chairing the District Recruitment Committees for this significant drive.
Physical Test Schedule and Venues
The recruitment process kicks off with the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), scheduled in phases across the four districts:
- Sirmour: February 11–20, 2025, at Chamba Ground in Nahan/Chaugan (11,202 candidates).
- Solan: February 25–March 6, 2025, at Police Lines Solan (9,275 candidates).
- Shimla: March 11–22, 2025, at Police Lines Bharari (12,795 candidates).
- Kinnaur: March 27–28, 2025, at Mini Stadium Kalpa (1,350 candidates).
Female candidates will undergo the tests first, followed by male candidates. All participants must report to their designated test venues by 7:00 AM on the scheduled dates.
Admit Cards and Key Instructions
E-Admit Cards for eligible candidates are being issued by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). Those who have not received their admit cards are advised to immediately contact the HPPSC for assistance.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the tests, only candidates will be allowed entry to the venues. Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) in the respective districts have been instructed to manage the arrangements effectively.
