Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam signs MoU with four Skill upgradation councils to train 2650 candidate
Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam has Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with four different Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) to train 2650 candidates in the State.
Mr . Jatin Lal, IAS, Managing Director- HPKVN signed the MoUs at Himachal Bhawan Delhi for the training of candidates in various fields, the total cost of these training program cost upwards of INR 12,82,20,865/-
The Himachal Pradesh state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has placed a strong emphasis on skill development and vocational education as important aspects of the overall development of the state.
The government has launched several initiatives to promote skill development among the youth and improve their employability. The government’s focus on skill development and vocational education is aimed at creating a skilled workforce that can contribute to the state’s economic growth and development.
HPKVN is pleased to announce the signing of a MoUs with the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC), Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), and Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ). Ms. Monica Bahl, Mr. Arvind Bali, Dr. Abhilasha Gaur and Mr. Arpit Sharma were representing and signing the MoUs respectively.
The MoUs aim to establish a strategic partnership with these organizations to collaborate on their expertise, the purpose of these MoUs is to provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform technical tasks and jobs.
Technical education prepares individuals for employment in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, construction, engineering, information technology, lifestyle, and many others.
Training programs are typically designed in such a manner that they offer hands-on training in a specific trade or profession, as well as theoretical instruction to provide candidates with a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) offers 3 different job roles namely-Bridal Fashion and Portfolio Makeup Artist, Assistant Spa Therapist, and Spa Therapist to train 800 candidates. Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) also offers 3 different job roles- Telecom Rigger – 5G and Legacy Networks, Technician 5G Active Network Installation, and Project Engineer – 5G Networks. The aim is to train 650 candidates under this MoU.
The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) aims to train 600 candidates in 3 different job roles, they are as follows- Solar Panel Installation Technician, Battery System Assembly Operator (EV), and Motor & Controller Repairing Technician (EV).
Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) will train 600 candidates under Solar PV Installer (Suryamitra), Solar PV Installer Electrical, and Solar Lighting Assembler (Elective: Home Lighting System/ Street Lights) training programs. SCGJ has already received requirements from Germany for 2000 trained candidates, hence the youths of the state will definitely get benefitted from this initiative.
Chief Minister’s budget speech in Budget 2023-24 where the budget has announced providing training in Electric Vehicles and Solar Panel Sector.
