Himachal Police Personnel to Receive Boosted Financial and Welfare Benefits Under Revised SBI Agreement

In a significant move to enhance the financial security of Himachal Pradesh Police personnel and their families, the State Bank of India (SBI) has revised its agreement with the Himachal Police, offering substantial upgrades to existing insurance and welfare schemes.

Under the updated agreement, the accidental death insurance cover has been doubled from ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore. For air accidents, the cover has been raised from ₹1 crore to ₹1.60 crore. Similarly, the insurance cover for permanent disability caused by accidents has been enhanced to ₹1 crore, up from ₹50 lakh.

The group term life insurance has also seen a significant increase, rising from ₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh. New welfare benefits introduced include air ambulance coverage of up to ₹10 lakh and financial assistance for education and marriage of children, also capped at ₹10 lakh.

Additionally, police personnel holding Platinum and Rhodium accounts will benefit from free medical checkups, while select account holders can enjoy a 50% discount on locker facilities.
