Himachal Kisan Sabha and CITU State Committee Himachal Pradesh staged a dharna at the DC office in Shimla in support of the agitating farmers. Hundreds of laborers and farmers camped at the DC office Shimla for several hours in support of the farmers and against the World Trade Organisation. Laborers and farmers held a rally from the DC office to Sher-e-Punjab Naz Shimla via Lower Bazaar. Workers and farmers demonstrated at many places in Himachal Pradesh against the barbaric oppression of farmers and the World Trade Organisation. CITU and Kisan Sabha have strongly condemned the barbaric and unprovoked use of force, killings, and repression of farmers at the Khanauri and Shambhu borders by Haryana Police and Central forces. Lathicharge, plastic bullets, and tear gas shells are being used on farmers. The only fault of these farmers is that they wanted to reach the country’s capital Delhi and demand from the government that the promises made to the farmers during the movement to withdraw the three agricultural laws should be fulfilled. The ruling Modi government at the Center and the BJP government in Haryana are intent on using various illegal means to crush any protest. Workers and farmers demonstrated across the country on the inaugural day of the World Trade Organization conference that started in Abu Dhabi, against the anti-national Modi government which is promoting atrocities on workers and farmers through its corporate communal nexus. In this sequence, a huge Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat will be held at Ramlila Ground on 14th March.

The destruction of farmers at the instigation of the World Trade Organization should be stopped. The conspiracy to hand over farming to Adani-Ambani and other corporates should be stopped. The conspiracy to evict farmers from farming and make them bonded laborers should be stopped.
