Himachal High court reader rammed by a car at US club in Shimla

Hari Ram Khangta, Reader, of the High Court Registry,  was hit by a car near ECI Chalet Day School, U.S Club, Shimla, at about 9.30 AM. Mr. Khangta was on his way to office i.e. High Court of Himachal Pradesh, from his residence. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately rushed to I.G.M.C, Shimla, where doctors  declared him brought dead. After postmortem the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members. 

An atmosphere of melancholy and despair prevailed over the High Court after the news of sad demise of Hari Ram Khangta reached High Court. The Acting Chief Justice, Sabina and Judges of the High Court  expressed deep condolences over the untimely death of a valued member of staff of High Court Registry. The Registrar General, other Registrars and Members H.P. High Court Staff Welfare Organization also expressed grief over sad demise of Mr. Khangta. Sh. Hari Ram Khangta, was an honest, dedicated and disciplined  officer besides being full of life and energy. He was 57 years of age. He belonged to village Astani, P.O. Samolipul, Tehsil Rohru, of district Shimla. 

Sh. Hari Ram Khangta, is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. H.P. High Court Staff Welfare Organization donated Rs. 50,000/- as interim relief to the bereaved family members
