Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti celebrated World Human Rights Day

Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti organized World Human Rights Day at the state office Sanjauli. 40 youth including workers of Himachal Pradesh University, Nalanda Library, Swadhyay Library and Gyan Vigyan Samiti participated in the event. The main focus of the day was saving the youth from drug addiction.
District unit’s executive secretary Sumitra Chandel, while welcoming, spoke on the right to employment and work while securing and protecting the rights of youth in the context of Human Rights Day.
Expressing concern over the increasing drug addiction among the youth, Dr. Neeti Gupta, State Program Officer of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan of the Education Department, talked about the condition of the youth. Dr. Neeti discussed the mental state of today’s youth and gave tips to the youth to increase their self-confidence.
Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti’s National General Secretary Dr Om Prakash Bhureta discussed various aspects of life of young participants from different areas and gave the message of adopting positive thinking in the society and moving forward on the basis of one’s talent. State Secretary Satyawan Pundir, while highlighting the role of youth in Gyan Vigyan Samiti, formed a youth sub-committee in which members like Siddharth, Jitendra, Amit, Naved, Aayushi, Ankush, Anchal, Duvesh, Aman, Suhana Mehta etc. were included and Ankit Dubey was given the responsibility as the convener.
Concluding the convention, Shimla Urban Unit President Govind Chataranta said that today the youth have many options and there is no dearth of resources like before, they just have to be patient and avoid getting distracted.
In this event, Urban Unit Treasurer Kapil Sharma, retired psychologist Dr. Ravi Bhushan, Sir Robin Sinha, Welfare Officer Vidya Chauhan, retired college principal Dr. R.K. Jishtu, Youth Sub-Committee State Coordinator Suresh, Forest Department retired Vijay Singh Kamal, Jaswal, Naveen Sharma etc. were specially present.
