Himachal government would assist students of state studying in Ukraine for safe return

Following increasing tension between Russia and Ukraine state Government annouced today to reach out students of state studying in Ukraine with help ot Indian Embassy.

Education minister of State Mr Govind Singh Thakur told media person here today that government would assist the students of state studying in the Ukraine to ensure their safe return to India soon.

“Indian Embassy had already
appealed the Indian citizens to leave Ukraine as tensions is escalating between the Russia and NATO nation.

Around 18000 students of India having higher education in the Ukraine, Minister said adding that all of them to be evacuated to home before war torn nation.

“State governments have not received any request or call from the students or their parents that they are in any hard ship. ”

He said informed that if they were facing any difficulty they were asked to immediately report to the Indian Embassy and the Union government and all type of
assistance would be extended to reach out them.

State would work to facilitate their safe return from Ukraine, if parents or students would come ahead seeking assistance ‘ Minister informed.

State asked about 20,000 Indian nationals including 18,000 students who are still in Ukraine to return to the country amid growing tensions with Russia.
