Himachal Cryptocurrency fraud kingpins minting money
The Kingpins allegedly involved in the cryptocurrency fraud are minting money from gullible people as they are relying on cash-counting machines to count notes.
Fraudsters have made property worth crores of rupees by cheating the innocent people of Himachal in the name of cryptocurrency.
Accused Praveen of Hamirpur had even installed a currency counting machine at his house to count the money.
It is being told that these accused bought luxury cars worth lakhs of rupees, petrol pumps, brick kilns, hotels, houses, and expensive plots in many cities and enjoyed people’s money.
DGP Sanjay Kundu said that the properties of cryptocurrency leaders have been assessed. Efforts are on to arrest them. The police have reached the cryptocurrency kingpin. 2 accused have been arrested from Gujarat.
The DGP appealed to the people who have been cheated by fraudsters to complain to the police. He said that after the police action, a large number of people approached the police with complaints.
After the arrest of two masterminds by SIT, Cyber Police received a complaint about Lokendra and his group losing more than two crore rupees in Mandi. In Kullu also, a woman was defrauded of more than Rs 75 lakh.
The people of the state have been playing a big game with the temptation of doubling their money in a few months. More fraud has taken place in Kangra, Mandi, and Kullu. Now cases of cryptocurrency fraud are being reported in other districts including Bilaspur, Hamirpur, and Una.
Mastermind Subhash is from the Thunag area of Mandi. The victims who looted the money say that Subhash had absconded to Dubai several months ago, but he had also been staying in Bhagwan Mohalla of Mandi city for a long time. Hemraj, arrested from Gujarat along with Subhash, is a resident of Tilli, Kaihanwal post office of Mandi.
Similarly, Sukhdev is a resident of Dharampur. All these people came in contact through a multi-labor marketing company. After this, after getting complete information about cryptocurrency abroad, these people together committed fraud.
