Himachal Covid toll rises to eight in a week
State Disaster Management authority cautioned people in the state as it was stated that eight Covid positive people died last week as the state positivity rate went up by seven.
Spokesperson of SDMA Sudesh Mokta said here today that the total Covid active cases mounted to 1764 today. Four Covid positive died in Shimla, two each in Mandi and Sirmour. A total of 27022 Covid test was done in the state and 1883 were found positive. Hamirpur had an 11 pc positivity rate, Una 9.3 p c Kangra 9 pc, Bilaspur 8.9 PC, and Mandi 7.9 pcSofar total of 5148591 COVID-19 test done in the State and cumulative 316590 found positive. The total hospital admission rate is 23 every day which is 1.3 pc of total cases.
To prepare the hospital for a spurt in cases mock drill was organized. Target has been given to all Health Institutions to conduct Covid testing on a routine basis and upload the results.
