Himachal CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu stable after medical treatment, returns to official residence
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has returned to his official residence after receiving medical care for sudden abdominal discomfort. A spokesperson from his office confirmed that the CM is stable and recovering well.
Sukhu was taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) in Shimla on Saturday morning after he complained of mild stomach pain. According to Dr. Rahul Rao, the Senior Medical Superintendent at IGMC, the Chief Minister underwent a series of tests, including an ultrasound, which showed no significant concerns. “As a precaution, we also conducted blood tests, and we’re still awaiting the results,” IGMC said in a statement.
Sukhu, now back at his residence in Oakover, is in good health, as confirmed by his office.
In October 2023, he was hospitalized for a week at AIIMS, Delhi, due to an infection and pancreatitis.
Despite these health setbacks, CM Sukhu remains active in political life. As one of the Congress’s key campaigners for the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections.
