Himachal Assembly condoles the demise of former member Dinanath Gautam
Himachal Pradesh Assembly today condoled the demise of a former member of the assembly from Drang ( Mandi district ) Dinanath Gautam died on January 15, 2024, at Tandu of Mandi in the state as the house assembled for the today’s the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh informed.
Mr Sukhu said that the former member was 84 years old and belonged to Bhatwari village of Mandi district. Late Gautam was the leader of the teacher’s movement and elected MLA from the Dang-30 assembly constituency in the year 1990.
Apart from being a teacher, Late Gautam had special interest in writing. Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and speaker Kuldeep Pathania also condoles the demise of Mr Gautam and wife for deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri Smt
Seemi Agnihotri who also died on Feb 9, 20024 at Haroli in Una district.
The House also observed the brief silence in respect of the deceased members in the house before the proceedings of the house commenced today. It is precedence of state assembly to bring a condolence motion in the house over demise of former MLAs when the house was not in session.
