High reaches of Lahaul-Spiti experience snowfall

The High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced snowfall in last 24 hrs and light rain in the downs streams, increasing coldwave in the state. The Met Office said that In Lahaul-Spiti district, Koksar had 19 centimetres snowfall, Gondala 15 cm, Keylong 10 cm, Kukumseri 8 cm, Udaipur 6 cm and  Kothi(Kullu)and Kalpa  (Kinnuar) one cm. The gateway of Lahaul-Spiti Rohtang pass and Gateway to Spiti valley had 15 to 20 cm snowfall. Jaloripass of Kullu, Kinner Kailash and Manimahesh of Chamba reported moderate spell of snowfall. Tissa and Dalhousie (Chamba) 30 and 23 mm rain, Manali 20 mm, Sangla  (Kinnaur ) 15 mm Nagrota Suriyan ( Kangra) 10 mm and Banjar nine mm. Minimum temperature of Keylong was mins 2.6 degrees.
