High Court advocate to sue woman officer who hit court employee to death

Himachal Pradesh State capital town witnessed a shocking incident when a rashly driven car in steep downward journey from US club hit a High Court official to death in the broad daylight on Tuesday. Not only local people but all the commuters are in distress and sense of fear by incident, they would think twice while passing through the busy or traffic loaded roads. Former Deputy Advocate General and learned advocate of Himachal Pradesh High court  Vinay Sharma has written a post on the incidents warning the errant responsible official to drag her up in the court to seek justice for the victim Hari Ram Khangta who was hit by the car. Narrating painful details of incidents which is not given so prominent coverage by media ( according to Sharma) he questioned the role of administration to allow a vehicle to run without proper brake by the errant official who is posted as Deputy Director in the Panchayat Raj Department. Mr Sharma also questioned silence of media person to not name and disclose the negligent driving by the officer who ran to police station to lodged complaint instead of giving first aid to the victim deceased . It is also equally astonishing that how could a car which is owned by someone else and being challaned eight times and not insured was running on the sealed narrow roads. It is not solitary incident in the town but number of people have been rammed and have faced such painful incidents previously but police and civil administration have always turned a blind eye to these incidents. The government has listed several black spot to avoid road accident but this incident has also exposed the state of administration for ignorance towards  vulnerability of roads and human errors leading to similar incidents.

The transcript excerpt of Vinay Sharma post

Shameful!

” The employee of the biggest court of the state was blown away by a deputy director who was driving without a permit on a sealed road, but neither any journalist published the name of that woman officer nor did the police tell it. In October this year  Retired Late Hari Ram Ji was a Section Officer in the High Court and was coming to the High Court on foot in the morning when a woman officer, who is on the post of Deputy Director in the Panchayati Raj Department, unloaded her private car at a high speed on Sealed Road.  But, while running away, she hit Hari Ram ji, who was walking on the side, with such force that Hariram ji fell 15 feet down the bend and died on the spot. Look at the shamelessness of that lady officer!  Later, instead of seeing Hariram ji, she ran to the police station so that she could escape, but she did not even think of giving first aid to Hari Ram ji.  The brakes of the car failed. Hey brother!  The vehicle cannot be driven on this road even at the speed of 10 km, because this road is very narrow and winding, there is a school below, then how did the speed of the vehicle become so much that it hit Hariram ji so hard that he went from the upper road to the lower road.  But fell down. It means the vehicle was over speeding and stories of brake spill are being made to suppress the matter and save that lady officer. Checked this vehicle on RTO APP. Its owner’s name is missing. Someone Seema Sharma  8 challans have been issued in that name and neither the car has been insured. If there is a cover-up in the investigation, I will drag them to the court until my elder brother Hariram ji gets justice.  K. Hariram ji!  God rest your soul. “

Further details are still awaited of the tragic incident.
