Heatwave In Himachal
Maximum temperature of Una rose to season’s highest level at it was recorded 43.2 degrees Celsius, Indian Meteorological Department officer said here today.
Incharge of Shimla Met Office Mr Manmohan Singh said that Maximum temperature of Una was 43.2 degreeson Wednesday that of 42.5 degrees of May 28 this year. He said that this was season’s highest however Maximum temperature some time increased in the summer up to 45 to 46 at Una.
He said that Mercury is gone up as sweltering heatwave is faced by the Punjab and border areas of UnaKangra and Solan district .
Maximum temperature of Bilaspur was 40 degree Celsius today, Kangra 39.8 degrees and Hamirpur 39-7 degrees,
Temperature of Shimla was also higest as it increased to 27.7 degrees on Wednesday.Maximum temperature of Sundernagar in Mandi 37.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 37.2 degrees,
Kalpa in Kinnuar 27.5 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 32.6 degrees, and Nahan in Sirmaur \35.4 degreesSolan 35 degrees Chamba 37.4 degrees, Dalhousie 24.8 degrees and Keylong 25.8 degrees respectively.
The Met Office said that light to moderate rain likely to occur in Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Shiml and Sirmaur district n next 24 hrs in isolated places. Forecast of rain or thundershowers also being issued in next two days in mid hills of state. The Met Office forecast rain or thundershowers in many places on Jun 12 in the mid and high reaches of the state.
The Warning of thundershowers and lightening likely to be issued in isolated places for Jun 12 and of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm on isolated places on Jun 13 in the state owing to development of pre monsoon conditions .
