Head teacher suspended absent without leave from school

Kaza of Lahaul Spiti district Abhishek Verma did a surprise inspection on Friday at Spiti’s Government High School, Demul. In a press release issued by district Administration here today said that  during this, Acting Head Master Tsering Dorje was found absent in the school. He did not even take any leave when checking school records. Out of the total seven teachers in the school, only two teachers were found present in the school. Apart from this, not a single student was present in the school. Head teacher Tsering Dorje did not also appears on  September 22 as he was not signed in the attendance register. Along with this, TGT Arts Lobjung Dolma and Dorje Sandup TGT Medical were also found absent in the school. When ADC Abhishek Verma did further inspection in the school, for the last few days even mid-day meal was not being prepared in the school. The midday meal cooking staff was also absent, along with the lock on the kitchen was also hanging. During investigation, it was found that mid-day meal was not being prepared in the school and the children were sent home for lunch. The teacher present on the spot told that the gas cylinder was over, so food was not being prepared for a few days.  The local numberdar panchayat pradhan told that the said teacher has behaved like this before.  When the executive teacher was contacted through mobile, the sister and daughter picked up the phone. It was also not told that no one could come to school due to medical emergency. In the single line order against the said teacher, the ADC has suspended the executive teacher under CCS CCA Rule 1965. The said teacher will remain in SDM office Kaza till further action. The teacher will not leave the place without leave otherwise disciplinary action will be taken
