Governor Shukla visits Hatu temple and planted tree
Rajpal Shiv Pratap Shukla performed worship today by visiting Hatu temple about seven kilometers away from Narkanda of Shimla. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also with her. This was the first visit of the Governor’s Hatu temple. They were very impressed by the natural scenery here.
Bhupinder Singh Kanwar, Bhandari Het Ram and Secretary Gyan Chand Dogra welcomed the Governor’s Hatu Temple. Bhupinder Singh informed the governor about the history of the temple and local beliefs.
The Governor emphasized the need to develop religious site Hatu in tourism and develop more facilities at this place.
Later, the Governor also participated in the plantation drive in Narkanda. Governor and Lady Governor planted plantation near Circuit House Narkanda. District administration and employees of various departments also planted saplings on this occasion.
In his message, the governor said plantation is needed time to increase environmental protection and green coverings. He said the land of God is identified with the forests here that should be protected. He said one of the major reasons for climate change is forest erosion. By planting we can complete this shortage.
