Governor Shukla to preside over State level Himachal Day function at Ridge
Governor of Himachal Pradesh Shiv Pratap Shukla will be chief guest in the state level function of Himachal Day on April 15, 2024 to be held at the historic Ridge.
This was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap while presiding over a meeting organized regarding the preparations of the function, here today.
He said that an attractive parade will be organized in the function, in which contingents of Shimla Police, Traffic Police, Home Guard, NSS, Scouts and Guides, SDRF, Indian Police Reserve Corps will participate, for which the rehearsal will start from April 10, 2024. Similarly, cultural programs will also be organized in the function, in which outstanding cultural groups from Hamirpur, Sirmaur, Mandi and Kangra districts will perform. It was told in the meeting that Himachal Pradesh Police Band and Himachal Home Guard Band will be the center of attraction in the function.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers concerned that all the invitation letters be sent on time and better arrangements be made for the freedom fighters in the function. He also directed to take special care of cleanliness at the venue of the function and ensure better decoration.
Anupam Kashyap directed all the departments to work in close coordination and complete all the preparations within the stipulated time.
The meeting was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma.
Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Ajit Bhardwaj, Sub Divisional Magistrate (Shimla Urban) Bhanu Gupta, Sub Divisional Magistrate (Shimla Rural) Kavita Thakur, District Language Officer Anil Harta and officials of other departments were also present in the meeting.
