Governor Shukla presides over 8th Annual Sammaan Samaroh of Bhartiya Dharohar
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, stressed the importance of preserving the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda and urged for deeper research into the concept of ‘Prakriti Parikshan’, a diagnostic method focused on understanding the constitution of the human body. He emphasized that this traditional wisdom should be promoted more widely to treat various ailments.
The Governor was speaking during the 8th Annual Sammaan Samaroh of Bhartiya Dharohar, held in New Delhi on Saturday evening. He highlighted that India is a land of immense cultural heritage, which must be safeguarded. He further emphasized that our heritage assigns the status of ‘Mother’ to the country and added that foreign scholars, including Max Muller, studied the Vedas and recognized their immense value. “We must not only take pride in our heritage but also raise awareness about it among the youth and children,” he said. He said that India has a unique position and was a global center for spiritual knowledge and people from all over the world comes here to learn from scholars of our country.
The Governor applauded Bhartiya Dharohar’s dedicated efforts in preserving ancient traditions and serving society.
He also released the September issue of the organization’s annual magazine and honoured individuals who made significant contributions to various fields. Ranjeet Kaur was recognized for her late husband’s contributions, while renowned writer and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, and Lakshmi Narayan Goel, a social worker engaged in education and cultural preservation in rural and tribal areas, were also honored. Patrons and members of Bhartiya Dharohar who made notable contributions to the organization were acknowledged during the event.
The ceremony was presided over by Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sangeeta Yadav, who also shared her valuable insights.
Vijay Shankar Tiwari, Mahamantri of Bhartiya Dharohar, welcomed the Chief Guest and provided an overview of the organization’s initiatives.
Chairman Ramesh Kapoor and other distinguished members of Bhartiya Dharohar were present at the event.
