Governor Shukla inaugurates blood donation camp at Ridge Shimla
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated a blood donation camp at Ridge today organized by Umang Foundation and State Red Cross Society in collaboration with various social organizations on the eve of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha. Lady Governor and Chairperson of the State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.
The Governor paid tribute to the Ram devotees who lost their lives during the Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi movement. Appreciating the efforts of the foundation for organizing the blood donation camp, the Governor said that the foundation keeps organizing such programs in service of mankind. He also appealed to the people for donating organs for the noble cause.
Terming the Shree Ram Temple at Ayodhya as an iconic religious shrine, the governor eulogized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and credited him for unifying the entire nation and to showcase our religious and cultural heritage to the outer world. The whole world believes in Lord Ram and appealed people to follow the path shown by Shree Ram.
Earlier, Prof. Ajay Srivastava, Chairman, Umang Foundation welcomed the Governor and briefed about the activities of the Foundation. President, Sood Sabha Shimla Rajeev Sood also greeted the Governor.
Earlier, Miss Shivani presented Ram Bhajans on the occasion.
Surender Chauhan, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Shimla, Deputy Mayor Smt. Uma Kaushal, Secretary to the Governor Rajesh Sharma, Commissioner Bhupendra Attri, Municipal Corporation Shimla and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
