Government should not endanger the lives of patients without preparation – Dr. Tanwar
CPI(M) Ahead of the inauguration of Atal Super Specialty Institute of Medical Sciences Shimla (HP), part II Institute of IGMC in Chamiyana Panchayat, CPI(M) has cautioned the government that the specialist health services to be started in the institute Don’t start without preparation. This will increase the risk of life of patients with serious illness.
CPI(M) State Secretariat Member Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar said that with the opening of the institute in Chamiyana, the congestion of IGMC would be reduced and the patients would get the benefit of modern specialist health services. But until all the arrangements for treatment and care are completed in it, patients should not be shifted in it.
Dr. Tanwar said that it is part of the policy of the government that where any project, industry or institute will open, 70 percent employment will be given to the local youth in employment and they will be given priority in employment.
He demanded that the land where this institute has been built in Chamiyana was entitled to the rights of the local residents. Chamyana, Malyana, Patgaihar panchayats come in this, which earlier used to be a single panchayat, so the youth of these panchayats should be given priority in employment and according to the policy, 70 percent employment should be given to the local people only.
