Modern Smart Classrooms Transform Education in Sundarnagar
Government schools in Sundarnagar, Mandi district, are witnessing a remarkable transformation as they embrace English medium education and modern teaching methods. Thanks to the state government’s initiative, children from pre-primary to second grade are now learning in smart classrooms equipped with LED screens and projectors. This change stems from the government’s commitment to providing English medium education from the first grade, ensuring that quality education is accessible to all.
Innovative Learning at State Ideal Central Primary School
At the State Ideal Central Primary School in Sundarnagar, around 185 children are benefiting from this initiative. According to headmaster Pradeep Kumar, the school has become a model for government institutions, offering English medium education alongside smart classrooms. “This initiative bridges the gap for children who couldn’t afford private school education,” he remarked, expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for this progressive step.
The school also prioritizes nutrition, serving diverse meals daily and providing fruits and eggs once a week to ensure children’s health. This holistic approach to education is setting a new standard for government schools.

Parents and guardians are thrilled with the positive changes. Neelam Sharma, head of the School Management Committee, expressed her gratitude to the state government for introducing English medium education.
