Government has done grave injustice to the employees and pensioners : Mela Ram Sharma

The government of Himachal Pradesh is doing grave injustice to the employees and pensioners and the government is betraying the class which brought this government to power. Making this allegation, Chief Advisor of Sirmaur District Pensioners Association Melaram Sharma said that the government is putting the old age of the pensioners in more trouble by adopting a negative attitude towards them. He said that it has now been proved in Himachal Pradesh that the Congress government is completely against the employees and pensioners. He said that it has become clear from the statements of the Chief Minister and his ministers that this government neither wants to pay dearness allowances to the employees nor does it want to pay the gratuity and increased allowances of the pensioners. He said that the savings that the pensioners save for their old age after spending their entire life in the service of the government has been suppressed by the present government and many pensioners have gone to heaven during the last two years without getting their dues. He said that pensioners use their lifelong savings in the last phase of their life to build a house for themselves, for the marriage of their children, for gathering resources for their old age and for the treatment of many diseases, but due to lakhs of rupees of pensioners’ gratuity and increased allowances being stuck with the government, now all the pensioners are forced to live a very difficult life. Every pensioner is craving for every penny of his capital. He said that during the assembly elections, the employees and pensioners had brought Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s government to power with great hope, but now all the pensioners and employees are feeling cheated. He urged the government not to force the pensioners to struggle and take to the streets in this last phase of their old age and immediately pay their gratuity and increased allowances so that the pensioners can use their savings in the last phase of their life.
