Gandhi family gathers in Shimla for vacation, security tightened

His arrival follows the presence of Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, who have been staying in Chharabra, a quaint suburb near Shimla, for the past few days. In light of Rahul Gandhi’s visit, security agencies have increased their vigilance. Priyanka Gandhi’s house in Chharabra, situated about 12 kilometers from Shimla, is a regular retreat for the Gandhi family. Sonia Gandhi traveled to Shimla from Chandigarh by road on September 17, while Priyanka Gandhi arrived earlier on September 15.
