 Hailing from the serene town of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Ashish Vaidya has made significant contributions to the world of technology, excelling in innovation and intellectual property. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Alexa Audio, Amazon, USA, Ashish has made significant contributions to the field of engineering, with four granted patents in United States of America (US 9224126B2, US 9088491B2, US 9513783B1, US 10506075B1), and multiple others in progress. His expertise spans across a vast array of technological domains including enterprise operating systems, file transfer protocols, apps for mobile and wearables, advertisements, language translation, large scale distributed systems in cloud, and advanced AI technologies.

Ashish’s story is one of resilience and brilliance. A graduate of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mandi, he graduated as a top student, securing admission to the prestigious National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, through AIEEE with a state rank of 53. Completing his BTech in Information Technology with distinction in 2008, Ashish began his professional journey at Novell Inc., filing his first patent early in his career.

Progressing through roles at Citrix and later Amazon, Ashish relocated to the United States in 2014, where he has worked across Amazon’s flagship products, including Prime Video, Social Media Ads, and Alexa. Presently, he is a technical leader responsible for Alexa’s Audio systems that enable Music, Radio, Podcasts, and Audiobooks experiences on Alexa worldwide, and handle millions of user requests daily.
