Four persons seriously injured in road accident in Pooh Kinnaur airlifted

Minister of Revenue, Horticulture, and Tribal Development, Jagat Singh Negi, airlifted four individuals who were seriously injured in a road accident on Gandhi Mohalla contact road in the Pooh area of Kinnaur district to the Indira Gandhi Medical Ayurvedic Institute in Shimla for treatment.

The Revenue Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the three individuals who lost their lives in the accident. The Indian Army facilitated the airlift from the helipad to ensure the critically injured received prompt medical attention. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and assured that they are receiving all possible assistance.

The accident involved a pick-up vehicle (HP-67-3488) that crashed on the Gandhi Mohalla contact road near Pooh, carrying seven people. Three individuals, Chewang Jamo, Inder Moni, and Sarita, died on the spot. The four injured, Charing Chokit (46), Shanti Devi (50), Surendra Kumari (29), and the driver Deepak (25), were airlifted to Shimla for treatment.

Additional District Penalty Officer Pooh, Vinay Modi, stated that the families of the deceased were given ₹25,000 each as relief, and the injured received ₹5,000 each.
