Four causalities and 243 new Corona cases were detected in Himachal during the last 24 hours

The dreaded CORONA VIRUS is spreading its wings once again in Himachal Pradesh and as many as 243 new cases have been detected in the state during the last twenty-four hours. Four people have also lost their lives due to the virus, said a spokesman of the Health department tonight.He said that the number of active cases in the state had also risen to 1,508 and Mandi district topped the state with 72 new cases, followed by Chamba 45, Shimla 25, Kangra 21, Hamirpur 18, and Kullu 19 respectively.He said that as many as 13,990 samples were tested for the COVID-19 out of which 243 were found positive.The spokesman once again appealed to the people to remain alert and adopt COVID-19 protocols in totality for their own welfare.Meanwhile, the HP government has issued directions that those coming from outside in the state should have either carrying vaccination report cards with them or the RT-PCR negative report card.The Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur said today that people should know that the virus was still existing and if they didn’t adopt the instructions in totality, the government will have to impose more strict restrictions once again.He said that the government would examine the situation of the upsurge of the cases on a daily basis and the next course of action would be finalized in the next cabinet meeting on August 7th.
