Former CM seek party probe on defeat conspiracy
Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal lost the 2017 assembly elections created Poltical strom ahead of a visit by Bharatiya Janata Party National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, seeking probe of his defeat on the analogy of Uttrakhand.Mr Dhumal said that if party think that investigation could be held for unexpected defeat it should be conducted BJP high command conducting defeat from Pushkar Singh Dhami in Uttrakhand similar probe should be conduct by party in Himachal Pradesh. It created a storm in the ruling party by demanding this probe as Mr Nadda who is would start Shimla Municipal Corporation Election campaign trail on April 9. Mr Dhumal is only popular face among masses.”I am worker, couldn’t do this”. Responding to the questions asked by the journalists, Dhumal said that if the defeat of the Chief Minister’s candidate in Uttarakhand coukd be investigated and it could be a conspiracy, then the high command should also investigate the defeat of the Chief Minister’s candidate in Himachal. Dhumal said that this is the job of the high command. When he was asked to contest the assembly elections, he contested the assembly elections and when there was an order to contest the Lok Sabha, he also contested the Lok Sabha elections. He always worked like a worker and is still doing so. Dhumal said that when he was asked to contest in the by-election, he also went for the by-election. In such a situation, he always did the work that was to be done at his level and he should do what Delhi should do. Remember that after losing the election in Uttarakhand, the Chief Ministerial candidate Pushkar Singh Dhami was made the Chief Minister there and it was said that he was defeated under a conspiracy and the high command decided to investigate this defeat. Mr Dhumal was answering the media queries about similar defeat of him 2017 assembly elections, as Dhumal and his close aids were defeated by the party rebels. Even then there was a demand to make Dhumal the Chief Minister, but from the high command to the state BJP, Dhumal and all the leaders of his camp were pushed to the margins. Whereas before the assembly elections in 2017, when the high command felt that the BJP was losing, about ten days before the voting, Amit Shah had declared Dhumal as the chief ministerial candidate in a public meeting held in district Sirmaur. After this, enthusiasm spread in the BJP and BJP got more than 40 seats in the assembly however Dhumal lost. Since then, Dhumal has been marginalized by the BJP as Jai Ram Thakur Government did not give his faction weightage. Now when Nadda reaches the capital, he will now have to answer Dhumal’s question. Mr Nadda and Jai Ram Thakur factions of party could not ignore Dhumal camp as it is known fact that despite the BJP having its own government in the state and Nadda at helms of affairs in center, the by-polls suffered a crushing defeat for rulling party. Now the crisis of leadership in the coming day may afront ruling party. Other leaders of Dhumal camp like Ravinder Singh Ravi, Gulab Singh Thakur may create trubble for the BJP in the election year as they could echo similar demand.
