Flushing operation at Nathpa Jhakri Dam to release high water levels on August 11

The North Zone Load Despatch Center of Hydro Power Station Rampur has scheduled the flushing of upstream power stations, including the 1000 MW Karcham Wangtu HPS and 300 MW BSP, on August 11.

During this operation, from midnight until 4 PM, the Nathpa Dam will release between 1000 and 1500 cubic meters of water per second. Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana has urged the public to avoid the riverbanks on August 11 due to the increased water flow.
