Five bodies recovered in Kangra
The body of a 32 year old tourist from Amritsar who had come to visit Krere tourist village in
Kangra district along with his friends was recovered on Tuesday evening by a rescue team.
The tourist was missing since Sunday
Meanwhile bodies of four more missing villagers of Boh village too were recovered this evening.
Deputy Commissioner of Kangra Mr. Nipun Jindal told our reporter late this evening that the victim Manmeet is a resident of Amritsar who along with five friends had come to visit Krere village but he was missing after the devastation that was caused by heavy rains, while the five others reached safe
destination his body was recovered this evening near Krere.
Mr. Jindal said that bodies of four more missing villagers- two men, one woman and a male child were recovered from the debris at Boh
village this evening.
He said that one body of a woman was traced out
on Monday thus taking the death toll to five in the landslide tragedy at Boh so far.
Deputy Commissioner said that five persons were still missing and their search operation will start at 0600 hrs on Wednesday morning.
