First voters of World’s largest Democracy turns 105
Shyam Saran Negi, the first voter of world’ largest Democracy and independent India, turned 105 today as he celebrated his birthday with his family members and district administration Kinnaur.Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Abid Hussain Sadiq had made special arrangements to celebrate the 105th birthday of the country’s first voter Shyam Saran Negi and Shyam Saran celebrated the birthday by cutting a cake. Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur congratulated the first voter Shyam Saran Negi and wished him a healthy and long life for his future. On this occasion, he said that we all Kinnaur residents are fortunate that Shyam Saran Negi, the first voter of independent India, belongs to Kinnaur district. He is not only the pride of Kinnaur, the state but also the country and is an inspiration for all. He said that Shyam Saran Negi has voted in all the elections held so far in independent India, including Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha and Panchayat elections.On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq,Superintendent of Police Ashok Ratna, Sub Divisional Officer Kalpa Dr. Major Shashank Gupta, Zilla Parishad member Kalpa Sarita Kusan, District Kinnaur Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Yashwant Negi, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Kalpa Sarita Negi, Naib Tehsildar (Election) Inder Singh and others were present.
