Faridabad Management Association Hosts Stellar Annual General Meeting

The Faridabad Management Association (FMA), an esteemed affiliate of the All India Management Association (AIMA), Delhi, held its highly anticipated Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 25, 2024, at the prestigious Hotel Park Plaza. This landmark event was gracefully hosted by Ms. Monica Anand, Head of Institutional Alliances.

The AGM commenced with a grand floral welcome extended to the Chief Guest, Her Excellency Ms. Suchitra Durai, Former Ambassador of India, by Ms. Saloni Kaul, President of FMA, and Mr. KP Dhiman, Treasurer of FMA. The atmosphere was further enlivened as the Guest of Honour, Mr. DK Bakshi, Founder & CEO of Global Talent Co. (Thailand, India, and North America), received a warm reception from Mr. V Thyagarajan, Executive Director.

Ms. Saloni Kaul, in her Inaugural Address, highlighted the visionary goals and future aspirations of FMA, setting an inspiring tone for the event. Following this, Mr. DK Bakshi captivated the audience with his insights on leadership and his enduring relationship with the Faridabad Management Association.

The AGM proceeded with Mr. V Thyagarajan presenting the financials for 2023-24, which were unanimously adopted by the General Body. Ms. Saloni Kaul then eloquently recapped the vibrant activities of the past year, while Ms. Charu Smita Malhotra, General Secretary of FMA, outlined an ambitious roadmap for the association’s future.

A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the new leadership team for 2024-26. Ms. Saloni Kaul was re-elected as President, Ms. Charu Smita Malhotra was elevated to Senior Vice President, and Ms. Monica Anand was appointed as the new General Secretary. Continuing in their roles, Mr. KP Dhiman remains the Treasurer, Mr. Ravinder Singh takes on the role of Chairperson for Corporate Membership, and Mr. Heeresh Gidhar will manage Professional Individual Membership.

Her Excellency Ms. Suchitra Durai delivered a compelling Keynote Address focusing on women’s empowerment, showcasing various progressive schemes initiated by the Government of India. Her speech resonated deeply with the attendees, which included prominent industry leaders and academia representatives.

The AGM concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Heeresh Girdhar, leaving the attendees with a sense of renewed purpose and camaraderie. The event was not just a meeting but a celebration of leadership, vision, and the unwavering commitment of the Faridabad Management Association to drive excellence in management practices.
