Fake msg in the name of important personalities, Cyber cell starts probe 

The Cyber ​​Cell of Himachal Police has registered a case and started investigation after receiving complaints of fake WhatsApp messages in the name of important personalities of state to spme of officials of the state. SP Cyber crime Rohit Malpani  said in a press release here today that probe has been ordered after having number of complaints from some officials received messages from an unknown number in which the cyber criminal was impersonting him as an important figure.  The Cyber ​​Cell of Himachal Pradesh Police has started investigation in this regard.  Along with this, it has also been appealed to the people to ignore the messages coming from such unknown numbers and not to do any kind of conversation without verifying the identity.It has been seen that such criminals often demand money or many times ask to tell the OTP received on the phone.  If OTP is given, they cheat by breaking into bank accounts, SP added.
