Ex-paramilitary officials decides to fight Assembly Election
Retired or Ex- Para Military people have accepted the challenge raised by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on the demand of pension of employees before the assembly elections as they decided to fight elections in at least 40 Assembly seat. Himachal Pradesh State Ex-Para Military Welfare and Coordination Association President VK Singh (Retd. DIG) said that they have accepted Jairam’s challenge to fight Assembly Election. Addressing a press conference here today ex-paramilitary officials said that demands of para military personnel are not heard anywhere. “It is Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur who challenged the employees seeking old pension scheme on the floor of the House inside the Vidhan Sabha that if an employee wants pension, then they should have to contest elections and become MLA and get pension.” We are in touch with all Political parties and candidate belonged to paramilitary forces and others to at least fight elections on 40seats. We already decided to fight Assembly Election on six seats and they would come out soon with more candidates. Ex-paramilitary officials said that they were forced to serve as Armed force jawan on hard duties but they are not being treated at par with Army soldiers. We are being being discriminated in pension scheme, not given Army canteen facilities and provided any post retirement benefits.
