Ex-CM hails HC order on appointments of CPS by Govt

Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said that the government has appointed six CPS  disregarding the apex court orders and Himachal Pradesh High rejected its plea to dismiss petitions filed against the appointment before the court yesterday.

  The Leader of Opposition said in a press release issued yesterday that the HP High Court has today rejected the appeal of the State Government in which the petition filed by the BJP MLAs against the CPS was not maintained by the Sukhu Government. 

 Jairam Thakur said that this big victory of the opposition and a major setback to the government at the very beginning of a legal battle on the front. 

 He said that despite having an army of advisors, the Chief Minister was the victim of wrong advice for this matter.

He accused the Congress leader of deliberately putting the political future of his friends at risk or jeopardy. 

Terming yesterday’s HC decision about the maintainbilities of a court case (filled before the court by its MLA) a blow to the government he said that appointments of CPS are deepening the political equation in the ruling party.

 He said that despite the clear orders of the apex court, this decision of the government to appoint CPS was completely surprising.  

 Leader of the Opposition said that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu has put CPS on 6 MLAs.  These include Mohan Lal Brakta from Rohru, Sunder Singh Thakur from Kullu, MLA Sanjay Awasthi from Arki, Ram Kumar Chaudhary from Doon, Ashish Butail from Palampur and Kishori Lal from Baijnath.  The government has provided them with facilities ranging from offices to vehicles etc.
