EVMs safely transported by air after polling from Kaza & Killar
Chief Electoral Officer, Himachal Pradesh, C. Palrasu said today that the EVMs have been safely transported to the strong room after the polling for the bye-election-2021 was concluded on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
In a press release issued today he said that after the polling at Kaza area of Lahaul-Spiti district under Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, EVMs were safely brought to Keylong through helicopter.
Apart from this, EVMs have also been safely airlifted to the strong room in Chamba after polling from Kilar area of Chamba district. The polling parties have also returned after completing the poll work.
He said that after voting EVMs from other polling stations have been kept under a three-tier security cordon in the strong room. The counting of votes will be completed on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
He also informed that the work of scrutiny of 17A voter register and other supporting documents related to this has also been completed by the general observers deputed by the Election Commission of India.
