Every person’s mouth starts watering on hearing the name of Jalebi. Every visitor coming to Rajgarh does not forget to eat Jalebi and Samosa at Yash Sweets Shop. Let us tell you that there is a small shop named Yash Sweets at the old base of Rajgarh city. Where there is a crowd of people buying Jalebi and eating fresh and hot Samosas throughout the day. The most important thing is that no artificial color etc. is used in Jalebi. Especially on festivals, due to high demand, Jalebi falls short and people stand in lines and wait impatiently for the freshly made Jalebi. Whereas the Paneer Jalebi prepared at this shop is also very famous.
Similarly, in addition to potatoes, peas and paneer are also used in samosas, which people prefer to take home hot rather than eating at the shop. Suresh Habbi of Ritab village says that whenever he comes to Rajgarh for any work, he definitely takes jalebi and samosa home from Yash’s shop and the children like it very much. However, all types of sweets are available at this shop and a restaurant has been opened on the ground floor where all types of delicious food is served. It is worth noting that eating jalebi is very common especially in the fairs of rural areas and people buy jalebi from the fairs and gift it to their relatives.
Yashpal Sharma, the owner of the sweets shop, said that his shop sells half a quintal of jalebi and more than 500 samosas every day. Apart from this, the shop provides employment to ten people and with their income the workers support their families.
Note that the history of Jalebi is connected to Lord Shri Ram. According to mythological legends, Shri Ram was very fond of a sweet called Shashkuli which later came to be known as Jalebi. It is said that Shri Ram celebrated the victory of Lanka Dahan by eating Jalebi. Due to which the tradition of distributing and eating Jalebi after burning Lanka on Dussehra festival continues even in the changing environment. According to health experts, consuming Jalebi with milk increases immunity in the body. Vitamin C, iron and protein are found in abundance in Jalebi and milk, which provides relief from diseases like migraine. Thin people can also consume it to increase weight.
