Even after four months, the mystery of the murder of the priest of Bhuteshwar temple remains unsolved
Even after four months have passed, the killers of the priest of Bhuteshwar temple Kanwati are still out of the police custody. Due to which there is anger among the people in the entire area. People of about seven panchayats of the area have strongly demanded a CBI investigation into this murder. However, the police station Dhali Shimla is making strong efforts to solve the mystery of the murder. But even after four months the police are empty handed.
Let us tell you that Sunil Das had gone missing under suspicious circumstances on the evening of August 08 from Bhuteshwar Devta Temple in Kavanti in Peeran Panchayat of Mashobra Block. It should be noted that the priest was looking after the worship work in this temple since March 2021 and was said to be originally from Maharashtra. When the followers tried to contact him on his mobile, the priest’s mobile was found to be switched off. According to the temple committee, the dead body of the priest was found in a pitiful condition in the bushes just 15 meters away from the hut on the evening of 11 August. Many marks were found on his body. Local resident Kamal informed the police. On which Dhali police took possession of the priest’s body and got its post-mortem done. During this time, the forensic science team also collected evidence from the spot. During the investigation of the hut, a cash amount of Rs 202040 was recovered from the priest’s box.
Deputy head of Satog Gram Panchayat Divesh Sharma, Deputy Head of Dharech Panchayat Baburam Sharma, Head of Satlai Panchayat Ranjana Kamal, Deputy Head Netra. Singh, Deputy Head of Gram Panchayat Peeran Sandeep Mehta, Deputy Head of Panchayat of Gram Panchayat Nahaul Om Prakash Sharma, Head of Temple Committee Khajan Singh, Secretary Harichand Sharma and many others have expressed regret over not solving the mystery of the murder in four months. And have demanded from the government to hand over this murder case to CBI. They allege that this matter has been put on hold by the police.
There is a very ancient temple of Bhuteshwar deity in Kanvati, which has been the center of faith of the people of seven panchayats of the area, Peeran, Satlai, Dharech, Chiyog, Tyali, Shilabagh and Satog.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Shimla, Sunil Negi said that the police is investigating the murder from every aspect and since it is a blind murder case, efforts are being made by the police to solve the case.
