ECI braces up to upcoming Assy election in HP Set deadlines to prepare EPIC
Election Commission of India trying to brace up for upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections of all the 68 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the state setting deadlines to update and launched special drive for Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) and revision of voters list.
In a notification issued here today Chief Electoral Officer of State Election department Mr C Palrasu said that electors who would be eligible
to qualify for the EPIC card should have attained 18 years old by January 1, 2022.
A special meeting was organized today with the recognized national political parties under the chairmanship of Chief Electoral Officer in which office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, and Bahujan Samaj Party were present in this meeting.
He said that special revision is being done in all polling stations and offices of Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Officers for publication of EPIC electoral roll up to Nov 10.
The filing claims or objections (at all the above places) DEC 10 Wednesday to Dec 9 2021 Thursday.
Special Campaign (At all Polling Stations) Political Parties receiving claims and objections along with booth level agents on Dec 14 Nov to 28 Nov, Settlement of claims or objections on Dec 31 and Final publication of photo voter list Jan 15, 2022 (Saturday)
