Duo arrested under NDPS Act by Shimla police

Shimla police has beefed up the vigil on the narcotics trade during Christmas and New year parties in this Tourist resort as it nabbed two drug traffickers recovering contraband Charas and Chitta from their possession. One person arrested with 287.62 gms Charas under police station Sadar as police searched him on suspicion of carrying drug today Accused identified as Vivek Malta S/o Srichand R/O Mohri, Uttarakhand. He was booked under section 20 ND&PS Act. Further investigation is underway. Beside this Shimla Police has recovered 9.84 gms Chitta or Heroin from the possession of one person namely Mukul S/o Jia Lal R/o Rohru, Shimla. Accused was booked under section 21 ND&PS Act has been registered at PS Sadar. Further investigation is underway.
