Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav takes over as Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur

Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav took over the charge of Director, CSIR-IHBT Palampur on 9th June 2023. CSIR-IHBT is a premier R&D institute of the country located in Himachal Pradesh the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CIMAP & Additional Charge, CSIR-IHBT handed over the charge to Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav.

Prior to this, Dr. Sudesh was working as Scientist-G at the Center for Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB), a Government of India Institute, Department of Biotechnology, Mohali, and from 2004 to 2016, he served as Principal Scientist at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur. Worked in He has 20 years of experience in the field of science, research, and social development. He has published more than 185 research papers in high-level international journals and has 15 patents in his name. Many researchers have done Ph.D. under his guidance. He is a Fellow of several institutions including the National Science Academy and has received several awards including the CSIR Young Scientist. His contributions in the field of science and technology including the metabolic engineering of plants and the development of high-quality products are notable.
