Dr. Santosh Manta elevates as Principal of Sister Nivedita Govt Nursing College
The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday elevated Dr. Santosh Manta as the Principal of Sister Nivedita Government Nursing College. Earlier, she was working on this post as acting principal. It is noteworthy that Sister Nivedita Government Nursing College is the largest Nursing College of the State Government where various courses of clinical side including Basic B.Sc, Post Basic B.Sc, M.Sc Nursing are taught. Dr. Santosh Manta has also served in the college as Associate Professor in the same college, now been posted as Professor-cum-Principal. She did her early education from Kyari High School in Kotkhai. She did Nursing Diploma from IGMC Nursing School and served in Kotgarh Hospital for 5 years. After which worked in Deendayal Hospital Shimla. While continuing her service, she obtained B.Sc Nursing degree from PGI Chandigarh . She was promoted as Nursing Tutor in IGMC Nursing School and did teaching work. In the year 2010, she started serving as a clinical instructor in Sister Nivedita Nursing College, She did MSc in Psychiatric Nursing from Baba Farid University for Health Sciences, Punjab in 2012 and obtained PhD in 2019. Dr. Santosh Manta is a resident of Bhamnoli village of Rohru tehsil. He was born in Kyari village of Kotkhai tehsil of district Shimla in the house of Gardener Dhyan Singh Sharma.
