Dr. Atul Verma Appointed as new DGP in Himachal Pradesh

The government of Himachal Pradesh has appointed a new Director General of Police (DGP). On Wednesday, a notification was issued by the state government, approved by the Election Commission, announcing the appointment of Dr. Atul Verma, a 1991 batch IPS officer, as the new DGP. Dr. Atul Verma, who currently serves as the CID chief, will assume the role following the retirement of DGP Sanjay Kundu, who served for 35 years in the police department and retired on Tuesday.
