Dr. Ajay Kayath was unanimously appointed President of HGCTA

In Government College, Chail Koti, Himachal Government College Teacher Association (HGCTA) local executive was formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Subhash Kapta. Dr. Ajay Kayath was unanimously elected as President, Prof. Harinder Thakur as Vice President, Dr. Amrit Mehta as Secretary, Prof. Inder Negi as Treasurer, Dr. Sushil Mehta as Senior Vice President, Prof. Bobija as Co-Secretary. Also, Dr. Subhash Kapta, Dr. Kamini Shandil, and Dr. Devendra Sharma were appointed consultants.
After that, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the newly appointed President Dr. Kayth in which discussions were held to raise various issues related to teachers in the General House to be held on 25th February. There was in-depth discussion mainly on the issues of teachers like seniority list, career advancement, DPC, giving a Ph.D. guide to colleges, giving full basic salary to contract professors and quick implementation of court orders and making a strategy to raise it before the government. On this occasion, College Principal Deepshikha Bhardwaj congratulated the newly appointed executive and gave her best wishes.
