Dist Admin seek MOD assistant to trace two missing trekkers in Kundli pass
District Administration Kangra has sought the assistance of
Union Defence Ministry to conduct the aerial survey to trace two missing trekkersin the Kundli pass from Kharota area of Kangra district who are reported untraceablesince Friday.
A press release issued by the State Emergency Operation Centre spokespersonMr Sudehs Mokta today said that Deputy Commissioner Kangra Nipon Jindal has informedthe SEOC about the missing of two tkrekkers from Kundali pass after snowfall inthe Dauldharnages of Kangra district.
Soon After the information of missing trekkers Administration have deployed Search andResuce team on the ground to trace them after the alleged incident on the site tracking route.
DC said that SAR teams are not able to trace the missing persons after 24 hrs of sreach operation need aerial surveillance of the track route and District Administration now asked the state authority to seek request to the Union Ministry of Defenceto conduct theaerial survey as due to inclement weather life may be in danger of the missing trekkers.
The Met office issued a yellow alert of snowfall and lightning in the state on Dec 1 however
two trekkers were declared missing in Kangra on Friday by the organiser of the trekking expedition.
During the recent snowfall in Kinnuar district about dozens of trekkers have lost life and manyothers have to rescue in similar inclement weather from the Sangla subdivision two of them also could not be traced sofar.
