Demands of Ayush doctors will be considered sympathetically: Health Minister
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that the state government has always remained considerate towards the demands of the doctors and various important decisions have been taken to provide them different benefits and facilities during the last few years.
He was presiding over a meeting with the Himachal Ayurvedic Medical Officers Association (HAMOA) here today to discuss various demands of the Association.
The Health Minister said that the Ayurvedic doctors are contributing immensely in providing quality health services to the people of the state up to grass root level. The government has accorded added priority to popularize this system of medicine and the Ayush department has been strengthened further by opening various new Ayush health centers and filling up various posts of doctors and para-medical staff.
The Association urged the Minister to include Ayush Doctors in cadre services at par with Allopathic, Dental and Veterinary doctors with an initial entry level scale. They also raised various other issues including issuance of final seniority list of Ayush Medical Officers, enhancement in retirement age and post graduation policy etc.
Dr. Rajiv Saizal assured the Association that all their demands would be considered sympathetically and appropriate decisions would be taken in a time bound manner.
President of HAMOA Dr. Shiv Gautam, General Secretary Dr. Rajehwar Kanwar and other office bearers were present in the meeting.
Later, the Health Minister also held a meeting with the Teachers Association of Ayurvedic Medical College, Paprola and assured that their demands would also be considered in a sympathetic manner. President of the Association Dr. Manik Soni apprised the Minister about their demands.
