Delegation of Himachal Pradesh Shikshak Mahasangh calls on Chief Minister
A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Shikshak Mahasangh called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha complex here today. The delegation headed by State President Pawan Kumar and General Secretary Dr. Mam Raj Pundir thanked Chief Minister for fulfilling the long pending demands of teachers.
Jai Ram Thakur said that present State Government has ensured the development of Himachal Pradesh according to its culture and sacrament. He said that welfare of employees was state government’s priority. While appreciating the efforts made by teachers during Corona, he said that government employees had always played a vital role in progress of the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that spread of education system of the state is not only being appreciated on the National level but International level as well. He said that budget 2022-23 is dedicated for the betterment of every section of the society. He said that name of post of B.Ed and TET qualified Shastri and Language Teacher will be changed to TGT (Sanskrit) and TGT (Hindi) respectively. Lecturer (school cadre) and Lecturer (school new) categories will be Lecturer (school) respectively. He said that apart from this, those TGT teachers who have been promoted to Lecturer will be given option to promotion as Principal. He said that efforts have been made to fulfill most of the demands of employees and efforts are being made to fulfill the rest.
Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur thanked Chief Minister for fulfilling the demands of teachers. Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj and representatives of Himachal Pradesh Shikshak Mahasangh were also present on the occasion.
