Delegation led by Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar met Chief Engineer PWD on various issues of Baldeyan Panchayat
A delegation of Manju Dabri Panchayat Chief Engineer Public Works Department regarding the damage to houses due to the debris of Mandar road Himachal Pradesh and met the Deputy Commissioner Shimla. Under the chairmanship of Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, State President of Himachal Kisan Sabha, this delegation included members of the affected families, Panchayat President Renu, Deputy Pradhan Satya Prakash, Ward Member Nirmala and State Treasurer of Kisan Sabha Satyawan Pundir , Secretary of Regional Committee Kasumpti, Jaishiv Singh. Thakur , Vice President Madan Lal Bhardwaj, Members Hari Singh , Revanand etc. were involved.
State President of Kisan Sabha, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar informed that the debris of Baldeyan – Mandar road under construction during the rains of 30th and 31st of last month and 4th and 5th of this month belonged to Mr. Narsingh Dutt Sharma, resident of Kyalu village of Manju Dabri Panchayat. entered the house. Due to which there was heavy damage to the house and goods. The family members had to run for their lives. Where Ishwar Dutt Debris also went to the Gaushala where 5 animals were tied which could be saved with great difficulty by the help of the villagers.
Apart from this , the grasslands , fields and water sources of the farmers of Kui village have also been destroyed by the debris.
Dr. Tanwar said that this road being built for the convenience of the public, instead of providing facilities to the public, has become a disaster for their lives. People living down the road are living in the shadow of fear all the time. A little rain breaks my heart.
He said that the main reason for this is the laxity and negligence being taken by the contractor in the construction of the road. The contractor did not dump at the dumping site and threw the debris everywhere, which is entering people’s homes in rain and rain.
It should be noted that the Baldeyan -Mandar road, whose length is only 12.915 km, was laid online on 13 September 2017 under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Its work was allotted to the contractor on 12-03-2019 which was to be completed on 09-12-2020 but the year 2022 is also going to end. The road is not ready yet.
The Kisan Sabha demanded from the Public Works Department to send a joint team to the spot and also to take appropriate action against the contractor for working in a negligent and irresponsible manner.
Chief Engineer E. Ajay Gupta ordered the Chief Engineer, Executive Engineer and the contractor to inspect the spot.
He also met the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla and urged him to provide proper help to the affected. The Deputy Commissioner ordered the Sub-Divisional Officer to go to the spot and assured proper help to the affected.
On Wednesday, the team of Public Works Department and administration will inspect the spot.
Baldeyan – Manju-Mandar Sadak Sangharsh Samiti was also formed regarding this issue . In which Yashpal was made the convener, Hari Dutt as the co-convener and Deep Ram, Satya Prakash , Reva Das, Annu Sharma, Besar Das , Renu and Nirmala were made members. The committee will monitor the smooth running of the road construction work till the problem is resolved.
