Death due to Hypothermia falling from height or glaciers : Four bodies recovered from Manimahesh in Himachal
State Police have recovered four bodies at Manimahesh, a religious place under Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district of Himachal on Wednesday, state Government spokesperson confirmed. The spokesperson off State Emergency Operation Centre Sudesh Mokta said in a press release issued here today that deceased belonged to Himachal, Punjab and Gujarat including one unidentified, reportedly died during Mamimahesh yatra owing to hypothermia and falling from height or Glaciers; however the post mortem of bodies are yet to be confirmed three others are reduced in two days long risky rescue operation .
As per information received from SDM Bharmour that two groups including four and seven persons went to Parikrama of Manimahesh. recently, . The first group comprises of four persons who were found dead in Kamal Kund and their bodies have been recovered by Search and Rescue Team .
However 2nd Group comprising of seven persons noticed that their mobile phones were out of network coverage due to which Chaos was created. The SDM Bharmour has confirmed that the missing persons are traced in Dhancho and all are safe
SDM informed that they could information from the Manimahesh on September 13 about the human death during the Manimahesh Yatra near Kamal Kund at Kugati Kailash Parikrama route in district Chamba. The District administration order the SDM Bharmour to constituted at SAR team to search the body comprising of police and mountaineer which recovered the all four bodies during the Parikrama in the high altitudes the bodies are being evacuated.
Deceased are identified as Aman Kumar son of Stapal Resident of Mohalla Mai- Ka Baag of Sultanpur of Tehsil and district Chamba, Smt Himangi resident of Gujarat and Mr Vinod resident of Ludhiana -Punjab and one unidentified
It is worth mentioning that on Sunday dead body of a youth was recovered in Kamal Kund. Manimahesh Yatra could not
conducted last years due to Covid pandemic however it is yet to began officially in the month of October this year.
